Biography

Hi! I am Bingyuan Wang, a Ph.D. candidate in the Computational Media and Arts (CMA) Thrust at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), supervised by Prof. Zeyu Wang and Prof. Qifeng Chen. I am also a Research Scientist Intern at Adobe Research London, where I am lucky to work with Dr. Yulia Gryaditskaya, Dr. Sam Sartor, and Dr. Tuanfeng Wang.

With an interdisciplinary background in Electronic Engineering (B.S.) and Chinese Language and Literature (B.A.) from Peking University, I strive to understand, integrate, and reimagine traditional aesthetics and contemporary humanities through cutting-edge AI technologies.

My current research lies at the intersection of Generative AI, Affective Computing, Immersive Storytelling, and Cultural Heritage. I am passionate about unleashing the synergistic potential between Generative Models and human creativity, particularly in immersive, affective, and artistic visual content generation.

• [Dec 2025] Art paper “Drift of the Uncharted” was published in SIGGRAPH Asia 2025. The artwork has also been selected for Ars Electronica 2025, Swissnex's Planetary Embassy, the Greater Bay Area Art & Tech Triennial, the HK AI Art Festival, and the 10th UABB. More to come!
